We have limited the amount of people we allow into reception. Please do not come to the surgery to collect your prescription or to hand us your prescription. All prescriptions (excluding a few items) will be sent electronically to the pharmacy for you to collect. If you do not have a nominated pharmacy we will call you to ask your preference or text you a barcode which you can take to any pharmacy you choose. See below for the other methods to order your medication. If you cannot do any of them, you can post your request in the surgery post box outside the gates. Please ensure you do not put it in the Pharmacy box, this is not checked and we cannot retrieve anything.

Ordering Your Repeat

Do It Online – the quickest and safest way to order you prescription is to request it online. You need an account to do this, just visit the app store and download the NHS App. You register at home without any information needed from the GP and then you can order medication directly from your phone/tablet 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week.

If you don't have a smart phone, an alternate way is to email the surgery. Our email is on the home screen. We regret we cannot accept repeat prescription requests over the telephone.  All requests take 2 workings days (excluding bank holidays and weekends)

You can post your prescription request to the surgery and if a stamp addressed envelope is enclosed we will return this to you.  Please ensure you leave enough time to account for the postal service.  You will notice on the bottom of repeat slips your review date. You must arrange an appointment with a nurse, or doctor, for the monitoring of your condition, and to check that your continuing medication is appropriate.

Patient Notice - Quantity of drugs issued

Some patients may notice change in the quantity of drugs issued on their script. National policy only allow doctors to issue 28 day supply of medication, however as a practice we have reached a compromise to offer 56 days supply.

We will be introducing this change from 1 July 2015 and only patients who have been issued 84 day supply will be affected.

If you have any concerns on how this change may affect you, please speak to your pharmacist or GP.

Vitamin D Prescribing

Effective immediately we will no longer be prescribing vitamin D supplements unless patients have a severe vitamin D deficiency or another medical reason why vitamin D is required. Please read here for more information.
